Ripstop, a material with ultimate resistance
Invented in the 1980s, Ripstop fabric is made in a criss-cross mesh from square
thread, which reinforces the structure of the canvas. Ripstop, usually made from
synthetic fibres, is a sturdymaterial which provides the best possible resistance
to stretching and bad weather.Used for sails,parachutes, and hang-gliders, this
technical yet supple and light material is also an ideal componentin working or
military clothing. It is solid and waterproof.
