The Puncho backpack (Size M) is the brand-new medium format backpack from the Bleu de Chauffe collection. It is ideal for an urban, flexible, and connected way of life. The Puncho backpack is made from vegetable-tanned stonewashed leather. It is a functional backpack with clever features which make it convenient for travel. The Puncho has a built-in sleeve for a 13-inch laptop (fits 14-inch Macbook Pro), notebook, or a magazine. A zippered pocket in cotton canvas is the finishing touch on the inside. On the outside you will find a zippered pocket on the back to keep your personal belongings safe. The inside can be adapted thanks to the SNAP concept which allows pockets to be added to suit each individual’s needs.

The Bleu de Chauffe label, signed and dated by the artisan who created the bag, is sewn on an inside zippered pocket.

The leather is aged using a stonewashed process, giving it a unique vintage style. The irregularities and aged appearance of the leather are the result of this finishing process. This aged and waxed process will give the leather a beautiful natural patina over time !

Today, more than 90% of leather in the world undergoes a chrome tanning process which uses heavy chemical components. Bleu de Chauffe has a different approach. Our leather is vegetable tanned which ensures better quality and more sustainable leather, a soft natural touch, and a patina which improves over the years.

Here the vegetable-tanned leather is intentionally aged using a stonewashed process, for a vintage, outdoor look. Then a wax-based treatment is applied to give it a slightly oily feel that's suited to outdoor conditions. It is also treated to provide good water resistance. The variations and sometimes irregular appearance of the leather result from this particular finish. This aged and waxed treatment will give the leather a beautiful natural patina over time.
