European leather, tanned using vegetable agents to avoid the use of chrome and the pollution it produces.

Mailman bags, plumber's bags, writer's bags, fishermen's bags… Bleu de Chauffe was born out of the desire to create new versions of the magnificent bags used by 20th-century workers.
Postman bag Eclair: The figure of the letter carrier is engraved in our collective memory. We all have in mind the image of the messenger, wearing his blue cap, criss-crossing the roads of France, laden with this heavy, supple leather pouch that had carried so much mail.
We were determined to design a model that would live up to this historic image. The Éclair letter carrier's bag is the very first creation of our leather goods house (in 2010).

The fisherman's musette has its roots in the early 20th century, with the emergence of fly-fishing, a form of fishing on the move that required you to carry your tackle and provisions with you in a bag slung over your shoulder for greater freedom of movement.
The cartridge belt is a small leather or canvas bag with its origins in the late 19th century. At the time, soldiers and hunters were looking for a safe, practical way to carry their cartridges and ammunition on expeditions.

Most of the bags in our collection are unisex, but we wanted to make a few models specifically for women - in addition to the Dalva, part of our business bag range.
The Janice: A real gem, this Janice bag!
With its fine details, it's an eye-catcher that adds sparkle to any look.
To create the Janice and enrich our women's wardrobe, we revisited the Musette du pêcheur and its practical, easy-to-live-with structure.
With its double pockets, comfortable saddlebag volume and quickly-folded pinched flap, the Janice takes the best of the Musette and makes its mark as an everyday bag.
But we also wanted a bag as beautiful as a jewel, with a delicate touch.
So we worked like goldsmiths, notably on the pale gold turnstile lock, which opens and closes with ease. We designed a beautifully delicate shoulder strap, and chose soft leathers in subtle colors.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR LEATHER BAG?

A Bleu de Chauffe bag needs to be cared for, stored and passed on from generation to generation.
Our objective is simple: your Bleu de Chauffe bag must be able to accompany you for as long as possible.
Vegetable-tanned leather is a living material which, if you take good care of it, will evolve over time and acquire a beautiful patina. We recommend polishing your leather bag with natural milk every 3 to 6 months, depending on how often you use it.
Caring for your leather bag is simple:
First, remove dust with a damp cloth. Then let the leather dry. Once the leather is dry, apply our natural leather milk with a damp cloth to clean and nourish the leather.
If your bag has gotten wet, wipe off the water with a damp cloth to prevent marks on the leather. Let your bag dry in a dry place, away from heat sources (such as radiators or direct sunlight), then apply the leather milk.
To revive your leather bag, use Bleue de Chauffe cream in the corresponding color. Apply the cream using a soft brush or cloth, working in concentric circles.
This cream will revive the color of your leather and restore your bag's incomparable color and shine.
