For their very first off the peg piece, Bleu de Chauffe is paying tribute to its origins. The eponymous bleu de chauffe, icon of the workwear wardrobe, restyled in a modern version that still stays true to the original.
With the versatile and timeless Germinal and Gervaise jacket, we have given a touch of elegance and charm to this piece taken from the early 20th century worker’s wardrobe. It is peppered with workwear details coupled with contemporary design: more seductive lines, a suit-style shirt collar, and subtle patch pockets. A combination of eras which plays with style, between formal and casual.
The Germinal and Gervaise jacket are made from an exceptionally resistant coated cotton fabric that is still incredibly soft and comfortable, also known as moleskin. Certified organic and of 100% French origin, this close-weave fabric is super smooth to the touch. A uniquely sturdy and soft material, for fashion that stands the test of time.
Button placket: five ergonomic buttons making it quick and easy to put on.
Sleeves buttoned at the wrist: easy to roll up if you have work to do, or just for the look!
Manufacturing: 100% French, just like the genuine work overalls of that era.
An essential workwear item, an appeal to simple, effortless living. Wear it with a tie or over your favorite t-shirt.
