In 1940, the American military decided to manufacture a light and practical vehicle for the army’s reconnaissance missions. This model was produced on a huge scale and sent to all four corners of the world up until the end of the Second World War. It was nicknamed “Jeep” and would become the symbol of the D-Day Landings and the liberation of France.
