Athos men’s sandals are made from vegetable tanned leather with a raw-cut edge. The vegetable tanned leather means there is no risk of allergic reactions. Simple and refined, these ‘mule’ style sandals are made up of three different-sized leather straps to ensure optimal support and stability.
They have a Vibram rubber outsole – nonslip, comfortable, and sturdy. The sandal’s ergonomic shape and the micro-cellular structure which gives a slight lift to the heel make them feel even more comfortable.
Each pair of sandals is made in France in our workshop in Aveyron by our artisan shoemakers.

Today, more than 90% of leather in the world undergoes a chrome tanning process which uses heavy chemical components. Bleu de Chauffe has a different approach. Our leather is vegetable tanned which ensures better quality and more sustainable leather, a soft natural touch, and a patina which improves over the years.
