Monocle Design Awards Best collaboration : Bleu de Chauffe x Lafuma Mobilier
Monocle has launched its first Design Awards, a formal recognition and celebration of the world's best designers and new design work, from architecture to urban planning to graphic design to furniture production.
The winners were selected by Monocle's editors and its network of design correspondents. The awards highlight how good design can improve our quality of life, something Monocle has long championed and an issue that the title says is of global importance.
"After spending the last 14 years profiling the world's most interesting architects, urban planners, graphic designers and furniture makers, we felt it was time to recognize this talent more formally," says Andrew Tuck, editor-in-chief of Monocle.
"Monocle's goal has always been to tell stories about improving the quality of life and creating more livable cities. These awards pay tribute to that approach and highlight how enjoyable and useful good design is in improving our lives. "
50 individual awards recognize talent from Seoul to South Africa and cover many aspects of design, from urban interventions to unique magazine binding.
We are proud to announce today that the Bleu de Chauffe x Lafuma Mobilier capsule collection has been awarded the best collaboration of the year award
The winners of the Monocle Design Awards 2021 were published in the May issue of Monocle magazine, on newsstands since April 29 and online at monocle.com
