Bleu de Chauffe was born out of a passion for vintage French workwear. Every one of our bags is made from start to finish by a single artisan at our workshop in the Aveyron region.
Our authentic approach has long been appreciated by motorbike lovers, and after collaborating with Blitz Motorcycles and BMW Motorrad, we wanted to pay tribute to our biker fans once again with a new line of bags and accessories made especially for them.
A new line with a vintage soul for anyone who loves to cruise with style and elegance on the roads of Aveyron or Corsica – or even overseas on route 66.
THE "ECLAIR" MOTORCYCLE SATCHEL BAG - AN AUTHENTIC PRODUCT MADE TO FUEL YOUR PASSION
The Eclair M leather satchel has been redesigned for bikers. It still has the strap to go over the shoulder or across the chest, but it now also has leather straps (sold separately) so you can attach the bag to the side of your bike. The metal parts of the fixings, as well as the loops and rivets, are made from brass. The straps, shoulder strap, and handle are made from exceptionally sturdy saddle-making leather, and the bag is reinforced where the fixings are attached. The vegetable-tanned leather used for the main part of the bag is milled natural-grain leather, colored using a technique which ensures the dye fully penetrates the material (like all the leather we use). It is 2.2mm thick and is treated to make it water-resistant.
THE WOODY MOTORCYCLE BACKPACK - CRUISE IN STYLE AND COMFORT
Our best-selling Woody backpack has been fitted with new chest straps (sold separately) so that it stays firmly on your back when riding – an improvement in terms of rider safety and aerodynamics. The chest straps can be used with the 30L or 25L versions of the Woody.
Woody motorcycle backpacks are made from cotton canvas that has been treated to make it water-resistant, and that will take on a beautiful natural patina over time.
THE BLEU DE CHAUFFE RAINCOVER
STYLE, PROTECTION, AND VISIBILITY
We have created a motorcycle raincover designed not only to protect bikers’ bags from the rain, but also to improve their safety by making them more visible.
It is made from double-thickness coated ripstop cotton canvas, a material produced by British Millerain and originally used for parachutes. It is impermeable, soft, and incredibly light. The retractable elasticated edges and quick release straps make it compatible with the Eclair and the Woody 30L and 25L, ensuring your bag is fully protected and the poncho stays firmly in place.
The motorcycle raincover has a large logo in 3M reflective tape which makes the rider extremely visible, especially at night. It will initially be available with a rock/metal inspired tattoo-style Bleu de Chauffe logo, and we will also be producing a version with the vintage-style Bleu de Chauffe logo that already features on our Bazar tote bags.
THE BLEU DE CHAUFFE LEATHER TOOL ROLL -YOUR MOTORCYCLE TOOLS CAN BE STYLISH TOO!
We know that bikers prefer to fix things themselves, which is why we have made a new version of our leather tool roll especially for motorbike riders.
As attractive as it is functional, it has two robust leather straps to attach it to a motorbike, as well as an outside zipped pocket that can be accessed without unrolling the tool roll, and two leather straps inside so that you can stow away your tools safely.
