Knitted from high-quality, 100% natural combed virgin wool, the Doëlan cardigan is made from English rib knit with a high knit density. Selected for its warmth and fiber length, this knit is soft to the touch while ensuring excellent durability. Its dense, soft texture makes it ideal for cool days. Its sleek design and meticulous finish reflect the authenticity and lasting quality that are the hallmarks of Bleu de Chauffe.
Fit : straight and slightly loose, for immediate comfort and natural freedom of movement, while maintaining a casual chic look.
Collar: high shawl collar, offering optimal protection against the cold, with a button to close it completely for extra warmth when needed.
Sleeves: The sleeves are fitted and loose enough to allow freedom of movement. They end in a wide ribbed cuff to provide a snug fit at the wrists, similar to traditional sailor sweaters. The knit features a unique geometric detail to mark the transition between the sleeve and the ribbed cuff.
Ribbed hem: The wide ribbed hem at the waist ensures a perfect fit and features a geometric detail that highlights the transition between the sweater and the ribbed hem.
Pockets: Knitted directly into the front panel, the pockets blend into the knit for a clean and naturally elegant look. This seamless construction reinforces the garment's durability and ensures an elegant finish.
Buttons: Our Doëlan cardigan fastens with a row of buttons in a matte finish and warm shades. They are subtly branded with the Bleu de Chauffe logo for an authentic finish.
The Doëlan cardigan can be worn over a T-shirt with chinos for a chic, relaxed look, or over a shirt with raw denim for a refined casual style. It can also be worn as a light jacket, adding elegance and casualness to urban outfits. Knitted in our partner workshop in northern France, the Doëlan cardigan is made from English rib knit with a high knit density (gauge 3), typical of the most robust winter garments. Its generous knit reveals a deep, reversible texture, visible on both the front and back, a sign of exceptional knitting. It offers natural elasticity and remarkable durability over the years.
We have selected 100% natural combed virgin wool, certified OEKO-TEX® and bluesign®, renowned for its warmth and long fibers. This premium material is soft to the touch and ensures exemplary durability, in line with Bleu de Chauffe's requirements.
English rib knit (gauge 3): This thick, elastic, and resistant knit is distinguished by its generous texture. Thanks to its reversible stitch, the cardigan offers the same refined aesthetic inside and out, for a flawless finish from every angle.
FULLY-FASHION KNITTING FOR PRECISION AND DURABILITY
The pieces are knitted directly into their final shape, without cutting, to avoid waste and ensure optimal fit. The stitch-by-stitch remeshing ensures fine, durable seams, and the pockets integrated directly into the knit offer superior strength and finish.

The Doëlan cardigan follows the codes of traditional marine knitwear: dense knit, natural warmth, and remarkable robustness, making it a cardigan of true “marine” quality.
Care instructions: Wash: by hand in cold water. Do not wring out. Due to its quality and weight (1.24 kg), the cardigan must be dried flat. It is not suitable for tumble drying.
